Boss vs. LEADER

I have to ask

What is a BOSS?

noun

a person in charge of a worker or organization.

verb

give someone direct orders in a domineering manner.

now…

What is a Leader?

noun

the person who leads or commands a group, organization or country.

an organization or company that is the most advanced or successful in a particular area.

Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or an organization.

Leaders are the true innovators and’ pioneers of this world. Bosses do what they are told.

Leaders make differences that count. Some may disagree but I believe that although having a “Boss” like mentality is great for self-esteem or ego boosts, I think it can actually hurt you rather than do you any good for business.

I never aspired to be a “Boss” However, some of the Leadership skills I use today I learned from people in leadership positions like my past bosses.

Some taught me that just because one is in a leadership position doesn’t mean he is qualified for the job.

Real leadership isn’t about just doing the job, Real Leadership is the job.

I do not know everything but I do know that I have seen enough lost potential due to the fact that some people are afraid to step out on faith and invest in themselves.

As a leader, I am telling you to stop putting your dreams on hold, get out there create jobs, build businesses and most importantly invest in yourself.
